One Fragment at a Time

A musical journey through culture, memory, and belonging

Written and directed by Nancy Castrogiovanni, premiering March 2026

with creative contributions from the Cultural Bridge Theatre Group (formerly ICP English Theatre Club)

In One Fragment at a Time, Cinzia, an adopted young woman who has just arrived in Prague, stands beneath the Astronomical Clock holding a DNA test that claims to map her identity. At midnight, a mischievous guide pulls her into a fast-moving musical journey where each hour opens a new cultural world with its own rhythm, language, and way of seeing. The show is warm and funny, with the occasional interruption from a very confident character who believes identity should come with clear labels. As the night unfolds, Cinzia’s question shifts. By the time it ends, she learns that DNA may offer clues, but it cannot contain a life.

Featuring original songs developed collaboratively by the cast, the show celebrates identity, memory, and the freedom to belong in more than one place.

with creative contributions from the Cultural Bridge Theatre Group (formerly ICP English Theatre Club)

"In Time Machines - I want to live" is a play produced by the English Theatre Club, an initiative by the Integration Centre Prague (ICP). Integration Centre Prague was established by the Prague Municipality as an NGO to support foreigners in integrating into Czech society. This production is performed in English and is family-friendly.

What if you discovered a time machine in your basement that could take you back to your country, but in the future, specifically in 2222, 200 years from now? And what if you discovered that machines were living alongside us in the future? By time traveling, Ti and Ziana will enable us to uncover Italy, Spain, Russia, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine. The audience will be informed about the traditions and languages of these countries and imagine how they could affect future generations.
