Cultural Bridge Theatre Group/ICP English Theatre Club
This project started in England and was shaped from the beginning by the questions at the centre of my PhD research. When I moved to Prague, I felt the need to continue it here, in a city where many cultural paths cross and where different languages and backgrounds are part of everyday life.
That is how the ICP English Theatre Club began, supported by 'Integration Centre Prague' (ICP). Over time, it became the Cultural Bridge Theatre Group, but the core has remained the same. We meet once a week in English to write, build scenes, and improvise. No one needs theatre experience to join. What matters is the willingness to listen, to share ideas and experiences, or to simply take part.
People bring their own memories, humour, and cultural references. Each session becomes a shared space where those differences are not obstacles but the starting point for something creative. Many arrive as strangers. They leave having built something together—with stories, laughter, and a sense of trust. It is a reminder that what separates us can also be a way to connect.

Vision
Our vision is to build a creative community where people connect through the arts and grow by learning from one another. We welcome different voices, each bringing their own story and perspective. Together, we shape something shared that reflects the richness of human experience. This is a space where creativity is not limited by background or language. It is open, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that making art together can lead to greater understanding and connection.
Mission
Our aim is clear. We want to create an inclusive space where the arts become a way for people to connect. We support individuals from different backgrounds in sharing their stories, exploring their creative potential, and taking part in a dialogue that moves across cultures. Through group projects, public events, and shared experiences, we try to build understanding and a sense of trust. We believe in the power of artistic expression to bring people together and to help everyone feel part of something meaningful.
